Thank you Sean!!! I appreciate that coming from you )

Thank you for your love and comment upstate! And you are welcome too :) You just didn't want to make yourself look silly, did you?! lol! I have to laugh at myself more than I'd like to think ) It's all good! Thanks again! That is funny how are stories are so very similar. I wouldn't recommend it and will move it to another spot. The mirror is/has been loosing some silvering for a while, probably because I've kept it in the bathroom too long. Yes, I have you to thank for this.soooo awesome! So I finally got a closer pic, I hope it's easier for all to see. Here ya go antique Rose! It's still hard to read, but I confident agh has called it! (still tryin' for a save) lol Thank you ladyluck, I appreciate your effort, love and comment! Thank you my friend! (Trying to save myself here ) That's the 2nd time I wondered, but is it possible the hallmark could slightly loose a bit of it's integrity? I'm thinking that's what has happened, could I be wrong about that? I have seen a couple like this and passed them up, but I'll have to look closer now! Thanks for posting it!Īghcollect, I think you are right! Webster Co 1984. I am SO GLAD for you, and your excitement!! You made my day here !!!! Glad you have marksĬan you give us another pic of the mark, closer ? Think I might have mine tested since IF those are marks on mine, there is no way to read them. Much like you, I never saw these before either.and I had that Art Deco Mirror set for at least 20 years too. Doesn't that feel good?įunny you should mention this, as it was only with my post too - that I think those might be (worn off) marks on mine too. So it was a Good thing I posted mine, and you dug yours out to discover the mark you never found before - only now. LOL.Thanks for the Thanks in the Topic Header.LOL Would it help if I were to get a better/closer photo?Ī seller has some flatware listed as J.S. It's really a hard call and I feel you are both close, and yet, no cigar. There are 2 small indentations under the "fish" that may have been numbers at one point but so old that you can't see them any longer. Vet and agh, thank you both for your love and effort, I appreciate that. I was just a bit crazed at that moment ). I will try to get an even better photo showing more detail. Thank you glasslove and Elisabethan for the love and comments. Perfection! Very elegant and sharp looking design!Īre you sure that's not Webster Company - North Attleboro, MA founded in 1869 by George K. Thank you antique rose!!! Enjoy everyone, I hope you at least have a good laugh!!!

Well, if anyone might know what the hallmark is, I promise I won't forget that! Ok, I have come to the conclusion that I have seen this, but the best side of me (can you all see that I'm arguing with myself here, lol) I must have seen this but just didn't know what the hallmark said! Yes my friends, I'm shaking my head too! I remember looking for that with what I thought at the time to be diligent! I suppose I was looking too hard and apparently, in all the wrong places! lol, wow. That's just crazy.I have had this mirror for at least 30yrs and did not know until just now that mark was there. The hallmark is in the shape of a fish and it either says PATO or Vato? It looks like it's got an arrow thru it but it may be representative of a tail? The initials on it are RFD, too bad they're not FDR! Wow! I can't believe what I've just seen! I honestly had no idea this hand held vanity mirror had this hallmark on it, and it's not even hidden!!! What was I thinking? (I have just removed previous photos and added 4 new ones showing the hallmark closer, the beveled mirror, end of the handle and the monogram)
