Just found where I had wrote the hours down when I bought it, 2,426 hours. From what I looked up, it adds about 95 pounds in a 7.50-18. I didn't think 7.50-18 front tires would be all that heavy loaded, but I struggled to lift the whole awkward loaded tire and rim up to drain it. It had loaded front tires! I had to clean them up and paint them before I put the new tires on.

This is before I put the new tires on it, new exhaust, new seat, and full service. I don't have a current picture, only the picture of when I went to pick it up. It sat in a barn for the last 15 years and got started a couple times a year and moved around. I bought it from the original owner, it was his cultivating tractor, it had long gone mounted cultivators. I’ve only ever seen a few that had working hour meters. If that was here, and has 2400 ish actual hours.I’d be at your house already. My uncle had a diesel 4600 and i used it quite a few times, it was good i thought. They traded it for a 3600 and said virtually the same for what they were doing with it but for some reason didnt have the ignition issues. Hauled hay bales with it in the winter to cattle. Used his for mowing with a sickle mower and old new holland wheel driven rake. Nothing monumental/notable that i can say right off outside of not a lot of hydraulic power with a loader. They are meeeeeh, ho hum, goods, short for mowing under trees, better than an N for sure, depends on what your plans are for it how it might be, gassers were finicky with points, dad worked on the neighbors a few times, ok starters, ok power, hot when riding them in the heat sitting straddle of it. It’s a little steep but if it’s ready to go to work. I like the ford x000 series, have experience with but never been on a gas or a 3000. I know of a 3000 gas for sale, reported to be a decent working tractor. Essentially a capable power wheel barrow and something with enough reach to load the flatbed dump if I had to I have run power assist tractors before so I think I know what you’re saying about it. I can haul the backhoe home any time if I need something bigger. it is not meant for and wouldn’t be used for day to day loader duty. By loader duty I would carry firewood, buckets of materials for driveway patching, moving snow, garden materials etc. I have unlimited access to a 580k backhoe and my FIL is next door with a skid steer. I think for a chore tractor a 3000 is perfect if the size fits. I would want as wide of tire I could smash on the rim for a loader. Normally only running something with a small cylinder it's not bad, but unless it has an external pump not sure how quick it would be. The next thing is the hydraulics are a little slow as well. Mine has a small assist cylinder on both sides of steering arm. You move it nice and steady it turns nice. Your not just going to grab the wheel and give it a spin with one finger from bump to bump with a flick like my 2040 John deere. It has all the power in the world when turning but you can get ahead of it at times. The difference being mine is a little slow at the wheel. I would venture to say it is a power assist, not power steering. Great draft control and position control for blading.
